If you are still unsure here are some suggestions on booking a band.

If you want the band to play whilst having drinks on the lawn, while the guests are arriving, or to accompany a meal then a duo /trio /quartet /quintet such from the Dining section would be quite fitting. Creating the relaxing but interactive ambiance. Some bands can also be flexible and play the later set with some more up tempo dancing music when the sherry is flowing.

If the band is for the later part of the evening, including dancing it is advised that a band from our dancing section (Jazz & Swing band a Jump & Jive band, Reggae Ska band or a smooth Soul band) These bands will really get your party started, creating that party atmosphere.

The set lengths of these bands vary. Usually made up of 3, 45 minute sets, with breaks. This is flexible. Like mentioned earlier you may want the band to play two varied sets, at different times of the day.Remember that the musicians work very hard, and if they are there for a long time, food & drink is expected to be offered.
